Tuesday Talks: Prepare Me to Become a Sanctuary

It’s time for a . . .

RE;

RESET,

REFOCUS

to being His (God’s holy temple)🔥🔥🔥

It’s time we become—once AGAIN (A Gain)—the SANCTUARY for God. As the song declares, “Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true with thanksgiving I’ll be a living sanctuary for you (God)……”.

You ask me, “How can I do it, Dr. Yolanda? How can I get back to my first love?”

Let’s start off with the following definitions for Re, Reset, Refocus, and Sanctuary:

Re – once more, a fresh, anew….

Reset – setting something back to its original state or changing it…

Refocus – adjust the focus of, focus on something new or different…..

Sanctuary – a holy place

Now that we understand the meanings of our focus words, let’s look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV. We will read it in both the King James Bible and The Message paraphrase:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV)

Now if anyone is united with the Messiah, a new creation has come. The old life is gone; a new life emerges! Look at it! (The Message)

We have been born again. By choosing to RE; RESET, REFOCUS, and maintain ourselves as God’s holy SANCTUARY, we begin anew, with God living within us. Our focus is to live as God’s dwelling place, remembering that "Greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). As followers of Christ, we have the ability to adjust and set something new or different.

Saints of the Most High God, today, choose to reset and go forward in God. Shift! Remember, the Holy Spirit lives within you and empowers you to fulfill your purpose and grow closer to God. You are God’s Sanctuary, His holy temple—make this your focus in 2026 and beyond.
