Tuesday Talks: Lean Not

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Don’t slope.

Don’t slide.

Stand and lean into our Lord Jesus. Jesus is dependable; we are not!

Therefore, we will LEAN NOT on our own understanding but in every circumstance trust that God's way is not only the best way but the only way.

Here's the Amplified Bible's version of Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart

And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,

And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

Don't try to get ahead of God thinking you know how He's going to solve your problem. And don't take any shortcuts when He gives you instructions on what to do and how to do it. Remember, lean NOT on yourself but into and on our Lord Jesus—completely—because you can depend on Him.
