Bless The King, family!
Today, we delve into the transformative power of Christ. Did you know that one touch from Him can elevate you? It can lift you from a state of bitterness to a state of betterment! You just have to make the right choice.
Let's define BITTER and BETTER.
BITTER- (of people or their feelings or behavior) angry, hurt, or resentful because of one's bad experiences or a sense of unjust treatment.
BETTER- of a more excellent or effective type or quality.
Will you choose to remain in a BITTER state or transform yourself to BETTER by renewing your mind? Let's understand how this transformation works.
In Romans 12:1-2, the Apostle Paul urges us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, not conforming to the world but being transformed by the ongoing renewal of our minds. This, he says, is our reasonable service to God. To truly experience the transformative work Paul is talking about here, we have to choose "BETTER" every day.
BETTER is "a more excellent way." In 1 Corinthians Chapter 12:31, the apostle Paul, in part, says, ". . . and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way." What did Paul mean by "a more excellent way"? One Bible commentator suggests that Paul is referring to "being completely converted to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and striving to fulfill the covenants we make in becoming His disciples." Submitting ourselves (i.e., our thoughts, our desires, our actions, our intentions, our attitudes, our habits—everything) to the Word and the work of the Holy Spirit is the path to a more excellent way.
A covenant is defined as an agreement: a contract or an agreement between God and His people, in which God makes promises to His people and usually requires certain conduct from them.
So, my dear sisters and brothers, the choice is yours: will you choose to be BITTER or BETTER? The power to transform your life lies in your hands.
Remember, only one letter (I or E) changes your posture, your presentation, and your personality. This day, choose wisely and choose BETTER—choose Christ!
