Bless The King, Fam!
When you feel downtrodden, weak, and weighted down as you wait for the promise of God to manifest in your life, what do you do? I’m glad you asked, but let’s petition our Father.
Lord, what are we to do when the wait is weighted, and we become weak? What are we to do, Lord, when we are saddened, in need of this or that, and the wait is long, the wait is weighted, and our flesh is weak?
Aww, what did I hear you say, Lord?
Now, let’s review the definitions of Weak, Wait, Weighted, and Promise.
Weak: Lacking physical strength, and entertaining
Wait: Stay where one is or delay action until something else happens.
Weighted: the past tense of weight, to hold something down by placing a heavy object on top of it.
Promise: A declaration or assurance that one (God) will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.
Fam, we are in a place where the enemy has come in like a flood (weak/weighted), but the Lord (wait) has lifted up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19)
Wait on the Lord and be of good cheer. (Psalm 27:14)
Yes, it happened and is still happening, but we know the weapons of our warfare (weak/weighted) are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (wait). (2 Corinthians 10:4)
Hold on, fam. Don’t move. The weak/weight shall be moved in the wait. As the song “When My Spirit is Weak” by World Hive reminds us:
When my spirit is weak, and I cannot go on, your mercy reminds me that I still belong . . .
Yes, we may feel weak and weighed down at times during the wait, but it is in these moments of vulnerability that our faith is both tested and strengthened. Reflecting on personal experiences of waiting for God’s promise, I have found that each season of weakness can foster deeper dependency on divine support, ultimately reinforcing the belief that our Deliverer will fulfill His word. Scripture provides reassurance of this truth, affirming that periods of waiting are not merely passive, but they form an integral part of experiencing God’s faithfulness.
As we close, family, remember God’s promise:
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
~Isaiah 40:28-31
Therefore, don’t move—wait on the promise of God🔥🔥🔥❤️🙏🏽🎤
