Tuesday Talks: Are you of the world or the Word?

Bless the King, family!
Let's look at the definition of WORLD in contrast to the WORD of God.
WORLD—all of the people, societies, and institutions on the earth. The material universe of all that exists—everything.
WORD—A sacred teaching, writing, or book viewed as God's work!
Remember, Saints, this place (the world) is not our home. We are traveling through to our heavenly home (the Word).
The word of God, in scriptures, speaks about halting between two opinions. First Kings 18:21 reads, "And Elijah [prophet of God] came unto all the people, and said, 'How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.' And the people answered him not a word.
One commentary says about this verse that the prophet
Elijah was sent to CONFRONT and not to COMFORT!
Consider another passage in the book of Joshua: "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord [word]" (Joshua 24:15). You have a choice, but only one of them leads to life.
Family, do you want to do the WORLD or do you want to do the WORD of God? God is faithful and just. The world is unjust, but God said the just shall live by faith (word).
When we are heartbroken, sad, downtrodden, we look to the Lord from whom our help comes (word). The world looks to other people, possessions, drugs, sex, etc. They do not have our coping skills. They don’t know yet that it is our God—and Him alone—who cares deeply for us. Only God can take our pain and turn it into purpose.
What do I mean, you ask? God said that all things work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). In other words, your pain and your challenges will ultimately work out for your good if you are a born-again believer.
The world says stuff like
I’m going to get whatever I want now
I can do what I want to do
The Word says,
You are my chosen vessel
You are the apple of my eye
I will strengthen thee
I will be with thee
I will never leave thee nor forsake thee
Family, on this day, decide who you will serve. Are you a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ or a slave to the god of this world?
Decide today! Many are called, but few are chosen. Are you with the chosen of the Word or the world?🔥🔥🔥
